2004 srt viper (506 hp) 0-200 == 13.8 seconds
0 - 160 kph == 8.9 seconds for porsche and viper!

Exactly.. from a German magazine. SRT's run consistent high 11's at over 120mph in the 1/4. I don't remember a stock 996 doing that. I know because I used to own a 996 turbo. The Porsche will take it to sixty or seventy but that 500 hp and tq will pull after the awd has lost its advantage. Now a chipped car would be a different story.
I agree that if the road was wet the turbo would inilate the Viper, but on dry road I believe if both cars had manual tranmissions that it would be a close race.
