Default Showdown. 04 Viper vs. 02 TT

Which car would you have your money on in a straight out sprint? Not a track.

depends on the weather, in the wet, the TT demolishes

otherwise, probably the crude american brute.

german car mag, sport auto:
2003 996 turbo: 0-200 kph == 13.7 seconds
2004 srt viper (506 hp) 0-200 == 13.8 seconds
0 - 160 kph == 8.9 seconds for porsche and viper!
0-160-0 viper == 13.9
2003 x-50 == 13.5

Exactly.. from a German magazine. SRT's run consistent high 11's at over 120mph in the 1/4. I don't remember a stock 996 doing that. I know because I used to own a 996 turbo. The Porsche will take it to sixty or seventy but that 500 hp and tq will pull after the awd has lost its advantage. Now a chipped car would be a different story.

Depends on the driver, unless it's an X50 optioned Turbo.

Close enough to be totally driver or launch dependant. Both drivers/launches equal I think the Viper wins unless the TT is an X50 or chipped.

I agree that if the road was wet the turbo would inilate the Viper, but on dry road I believe if both cars had manual tranmissions that it would be a close race.

I'd take this Quad-exhaust beast over a 996tt or a Viper and smoke'm both with ease!
