Three Wheelin'
What about them? I think CTS Chris is right on the money with whats going on with the X pipes- better flowing exhausts (lower post turbine exhaust pressure) gives a larger pressure differential across the wastegate valve and lets them flow a little more so the boost comes down. The Xs sound really good but they're kinda like a musical instrument when you think about how many bends and turns they have in a relatively short run of pipe, I think mine was 360 degrees per bank in just a few feet of pipe, I may as well bolted a french horn on to the test pipes

1.1bar (16psi) on 91octane
1.35 bar (20psi) on 91 octane
1.45 bar (21psi) on 95 octane
For comparison, here is the same engine (with the slightly smaller XR980s) when run on the OEM ECU tuned by Sam by Design. With the OEM ECU, the variocam was NOT fully variable but rather only a 0/30º step.
1.3 bar (19psi) on 95 octane

Burning Brakes
Not my car but came across this oldy on 6Speed
This car is a tiptronic and was converted to RWD
according to an online hp calculator using the trap speed
a stock tiptronic is about 400 hp (crank)
the 93 tune on this car puts out 437 hp and the 109 race gas tune was just a bit above 500 hp.
im going to get my TT dyno tested before i start modding it. these results are impressive, but im willing to bet that this tune is/was pretty spicy
Went to Royal Purple Raceway last Sunday and got a new best with the stock K16 turbos. I was pretty happy with the outcome with such minimal mods (3" x-pipe, ms109 flash from EPL & rwd). She ran consistent 11.4x@120-122 all day then my last pass was the best.
Times throughout the stages:
Stock: 12.43@113.5mph
3" X-Pipe & 93oct flash: 11.63@117mph (118mph in rwd)
3" X-Pipe, MS109 flash/fuel & rwd: 11.39@123mph
