Default Tire size for 19's

Recently I had a set of wheels made through VT Forged 19x8.5/11

I've read a bunch of post about this, sooo "sorry in advance lol" I'm currently between two tire size sets.

Front 225/40/19 Rear 295/30/19
and
Front 245/35/19 Rear 305/30/19

The car currently has Techart Coilovers and adjustable toe arms. I'm just trying to see what everyone here would go with?

I like the wheels, they should look great on the car.

I run a 245/305 combo on my car for a few reasons
- More tire is better
- The taller tires are a better match for the gear ratios (in my opinion)
- Tire availability
- It looks better aesthetically because the fender wells on a 996 are large

After installing the 245 front I'm pretty sure the 225 is to tall.

Beautiful wheels! I am also running 245/35/19 and 305/30/19. However, I think you would need to be RWD as the front diameter is smaller than the rear by almost a 1/2".

For those wheels I'd go with

245/35/19 Fronts (25.8 diameter)

295/30/19 Rear (26 diameter)

That's the closest you can really get and still have some good sidewall. The fronts may rub a bit at full lock in the parking lot but this hasn't been an issue for me.

Here is a tire selection thread I made a while back: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-turb...996-turbo.html

I run 245/305, but I've pulled my front diff.

Good looking wheel.

That has been a good combo even with a front diff in place it seems to be working fine and puts a ton of rubber on the road. The 245 front really cures the understeer. If you have a 12 inch rim you can't use the 295 rear and must go to the 305.

should I run a 12mm wheel spacer on the front?

I run a 305/30 19" rear which works ok on my moderately lowered car. On my slammed car it rubs the rear fenders despite rollling them.

A spacer will not correct for a diameter issue. A spacer is used to push the wheel/tire out to correct for a wheel that has an offset that is too small. Do you know the offset of front wheels? Rear wheels? If they were made for the 996 widebody, then I am sure they are good, so no spacer needed.

That may be an issue with your offset. My 315/25/19 setup fits fine in the outer fender but is a bit close against the inner liner, I had to melt it and push it in a bit.

Quite likely. These rims are old, out of production from a Swiss tuner, probably 15+ years old. There are no markings on them at all.
They sure look good though.
