Hi folks - My 2002 Turbo rear spoiler left ram has a small seep which likely causes the drivers side to not lift all the way up triggering the "Error Spoiler Control" light in the dash. Visually the spoiler lifts just fine, in fact it is impossible to see any difference berween the left or right side but the sensor is picking it up nevertheless. An indy shop suggested replacing the whole assembly including the pump which costs $2700 plus labor. I think thats nuts.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. I assume I could replace the left side ram and be done with it....ideally maybe even just get away with resealing it?
I would strongly suggest that you or your shop drain, fill with new Pentosin and rebleed your wing system..
I would bet that you could get 2 to 3 years of service prior to replacing a wing cylinder.
There is a recent thread explaining the proceedure.
If you email me, I can send you my instructions that I send people.
If you or your shop is looking to replace new wing cylinders I do have them for sale.
