Default CHP 11-99 Foundation Program

http://www.chp1199.org/

I'm curious to hear from members of this foundation. You can either post, or PM me if you prefer. I have noticed a number of P-car owners in the SF/SJ Bay Area with these license plate frames.

Aside from it being a very good cause, I'm wondering if others perceive or have experience about 'side benefits'.

Thanks,

Andy

Good cause and also tax deductible, so in after-tax cost to you is about 55-60%. If you get the lifetime membership, avoidance of one ticket pretty much pays for itself. WRT to side benefits I've been the beneficiary of some goodwill when riding my bikes.

I am not a member of any LEO support charity, however I do have several LEOs in my family. The consensus is that affiliation will NOT get you out of a ticket 90% of the time because most of the members of these organizations only buy in to get out of tickets and the cops know that.

If you guys know differently, let us hear it!

The benefits are good.

Nuff said.

The 11-99 Foundation has "vetting" requirements -- they won't take your money and accept you for membership unless you have a clean driving record. Perhaps, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy.

BTW, the Foundation does great work for officers in need of assistance.
