Looks good, how did you mount? I know some have mentioned they used 2mm spacers on the left and right, to fill the gap. Did you use anything? Much appreciated.

Which model did you choose, just the standard 2GB RAM / 32GB ROM for $170.60 linked here, AliExpresss. Are those specs adequate?, or is it recommended to upgrade the specs, RAM/ROM/DSP? I certainly want a good experience from a speed standpoint, I would mostly be streaming from Plexamp / Apple Music from my attached phone via Carplay. No need to store music or video on the head unit.

Thx.

Jonas

I bought the 4 GB RAM 32 GB ROM HU. For CarPlay it should be adequate. I use the native Android so it’s a little slow with 3 to 4 Apps running. You can ask for a Rennlist discount. They gave me $20 off. The fitment is not perfect but it’s good enough for me. You can buy the External or Internal TPMS module separately. I think they sell for $35 and they are $25 on AliExpress

I had a aftermarket pioneer radio system so I slide it into that mounting system and it seems to work perfect after some trimming.

Good job. I want to install the cubby like yours for a cleaner install. How do I remove the NAV drive from my PCM 1? I tried to push it out but it did not come out.

Haven't bought the unit yet and I am wondering what is the use of the can bus box for a non most Bose car. Does anyone know something about his? It would be nice if it could display car speed for example in KM/H.

Also is it necessary to buy a Car audio radio amplifier integration ISO interface to enable the BOSE amplifier to work?

Just finished installing this on my 2003 C4S, thanks for all the information in this thread. For the shims I made an 3D printed shim out of ABS incase of temp issues the corner cut out goes in the top for the tab of the Cup holder 2 holes just line up over the screws so they stay flat on the sides. my head unit now fits in perfectly and doesn't tilt etc.

a few notes for you - my car is an 04 with bose / cd changer on frunk and had a pcm navigation unit with in dash prompts / turns etc

- update the android os as well as all packages on the stereo as I pull and apply these as soon as they come out. Last one fixed canbus issues partially and I get speed and some other car data in the unit now
- I mounted all antennae under the top of the dash right between the air vents and leather or whatever material you have for surround
- apple carplay and google connect near. Instantly. Better than in any of our modern / newer cars
- I moved my google voice to a sim card and run it on the head unit. Cheap and
- gps on these is excellent as you can feed off both the US and Russian satellites
- explore the settings in the danced unlocked menus
- my sound is excellent and I can fade f/r r/l etc without issue

ill tackle cameras next when I have the rear apart when I do my injectors and coolers upgrade later this year. I’ll post my experience once done.
May be really stupid of me but how do i get to the advanced or factory menu? I cant see it anywhere and the usual press on build number doesnt do anything for me, as for the updates the standard menu has canbus and firmware update but i assume i need the files on a usb stick is this anywhere i can get or just contact sadocom?

get a small flat head screw driver and a flash light top center of each air vent above the plastic shroud beneath the dashboard trim is a metal pin pull it down and pull the vents out you need to do it on both once one comes you'll feel it tilt out then do the other, I had to do this a couple of times you'll see the vents are locked to the frame so you reinstall them last.

there are 3 numbers put there

3368 default for most
126 for snapdragon
