Default GT3 Billet cover question

For any of you running the CMS GT3 billet side cover on your gearbox, what did you do with the coolant hose holder from the old cover? Not seeing a way to mount it to the new one. What do I need to do to keep the hoses off the CV and axle shaft? This is not my photo, but gives a great shot of the bracket and hoses

in question.

I honestly think those covers are a waste of money. We've always run the OEM cover for years of track abuse at +800whp with zero problems. I assume you could improvise and drill and tap an attachment point for the bracket on the CMS cover. Should be easy...

it would be easy if I knew about it when it was out of the car. C'est la vie. I'll figure something out.

There is a different bracket for the GT3 trans that holds the lines from above. Part number is 996-106-526-90

Where does it attach to? I don't see a point above that general area where this would go. Do you have a photo of one installed? The parts diagram doesn't really show where on the vehicle it goes.

agree, think it's safer still with a beefy diff like the Guard

It's the hole that you see the hose clamp for the -8AN fuel line bolted to on my gearbox. I am not sure if a 996TT gearbox has this or just the GT2/3 gearboxes. I would suspect they are all pre-tapped however.

It was tapped. I was able to fab something for the time being. Thanks for everyone's help. I think I will likely go with the GT3 bracket if the homemade solution presents issues.

If anyone needs them, I have all the GT2/3 heater hoses, pipes, and the above bracket. They are all virtually new as they were replaced a few years ago. I removed these from my car when we removed the heater core system.
