So I've had it with these eBay aero lip knock off's. They fit like ****e (the mold is 3/8" too short) and no matter how careful I am, I always seem to crack them on something. I'm done with them. So what are my other options? Joe Toth has a 3 piece lip, so if I crack it, I can just replace that one part. I've contacted him and he told me it's 1/4" lower than the factory turbo lip, so won't be as low as the aero lip, which would hopefully mean I won't destroy it as quickly. Anyone have it? Thoughts? Any issues with it not having the air inlet for the brake ducts as far as getting more brake fade on track? Are there any other options out there?

I'd go with the Joe Toth 3-piece lip. It looks killer. It fits much better than the knock-offs and can be easily repaired.
I broke the center piece in half and repaired it using fiberglass tape and epoxy on the backside.

TechArt will set you back about $4K and that's what I would choose.

Here are some well made knock offs and also see "Precision Porsche" or whatever they call themselves these days out of SoCal also.

Not really interested in spending $4k. If I was going to spend that sort of money I'd just get a Ruf "GT2" front bumper. I'm looking to just replace the front lip on the factory turbo bumper, not do a GT2 bumper....

I have a GT3tek front aerokit spoiler. Not as cheap as the ebay replicas but fitment is very good.

After replacing 6 of the aero lips i am back to the stock version. I still have an aero lip for track days. The stock lip has survived a winter in the Ca. desert around Palm Desert where the drainage dips are horrendous. It still scrapes, it just doesn't fold under. You wouldn't think water runoff would be a big problem out in the desert but it is crazy when you can get flash flooding when it only rains 1/4 ". I thought about the Joe Toth lip but if it is lower than stock i think i would still destroy it pretty regularly.

Maybe the C4 front lip because it isn't as low. The Toth lip is cool but will break up for sure. The ebay turbo lip is doing well for me. You have to heat the whole thing up when you install to stretch it a bit. The aero lip is way too low. I folded mine up in a parking lot one day.

Understood. I believe that TechArt makes splitters but perhaps I am confusing that with their full front fascia? But I wouldn't pay $4K either.

Many use the OEM C4S lip for that added inch or so of clearance over the 996 Turbo stocker. My last one is still hanging on. $280.00 plus or minus.

I've got my factory turbo lip in my basement. Guess I'll toss it on and call it a day. I don't really want to destroy the Joe Toth setup, I'm annoyed as it is with breaking the 5-6 eBay Aero lips I've already done.

So the C4S lip sits higher than the stock Turbo lip? Looks like Sunset Porsche has it for $164, not too bad unless shipping is the same...

If your car is lowered significantly, even a C4 lip is going to scrape in spots. There is no correct answer to this question. Use the lip you’re most comfortable with.

This is true. Yet the C4 lips recessed ( smaller? ) center section creates a much needed inch+ or so dead centered added clearance for those pesky road hazards. The ones just in front in my lane that rarely see in time for evasive action. When I see a rock or debris that I cannot avoid, I wince while hoping the C4S lip has given me that extra half inch I need not to strike the rock. It's always a gamble.

My car is lowered 50MM and I still have to angle in/out of driveways etc using that lip but the 4S lip lasts me a lot longer than the regular one. I also think the C4S lip looks better than both the OEM Aero lip as well as the standard OEM lip. But I agree with use what you like as good advice. They ALL "scrape" depending.
