Default 2004 Turbo Discounts?

Just wondering what kind of discounts people are getting these days:

I'm in the market for a 2004 Turbo, don't know coupe or cab... I would rather have a coupe, but they are very difficult to find, as there are only 100-200 this year.

is it possible to get 7-10% off MSRP as with the Carrera Models?

How about 2004 C4S Coupe/Cabs?

I am only interested in 2004 model year cars, buying a 2003 this late in 2004 would be a huge mistake for many reasons.

Thanks!

Send me an email. I have spoken with many of the dealers on the East Coast and have a pretty good idea of what the actual market is.

Only about 80 '04 coupes were built for the US. From what I have seen, 2-3K is the most discount dealers are giving. Good luck and let us know what you decide!

I would expect to see the same discount on cabs.
Now that spring has arrived demand for the cab should be stronger.

I don't know about this. A month ago, there were very few TT coupes left period. I went with a guy from work who was going to purchase one and out of 27 sitting in the US, only 5 or 6 were not sold. The only one my dealer could get (by trading one of their TT cabriolets) was silver with blue interior which my buddy did not want. I would say fat chance on getting a discount, at least in my area. Maybe up North or West would be different.

i agree-why should a dealer give you a discount on a car in such short supply-maybe someone who bought a new 04tt coupe could comment on their discount/lack of discount.

i've realized now that the real problem is actually finding an 04 TT coupe...

once you find one, you'll be so happy to ****** it up that any discount would just be icing on the cake.

ive only found ONE 04TT coupe that fits my specs perfectly, with the exception of the car being midnight blue instead of black., but i can live with that.

and dont ask, im not telling you where its at ...

working on a deal now, trying to get 5k will settle for 3.5k off.

moogle-you are right. most dealers can't even find an 04 coupe to sell you. with less than 150 cars available this year, the 04 coupes are a rare find at your dealer. how different it was in 03, where there was a real oversupply of tt's. if you can get a discount, my hat is off to you, but my advice is just be happy that you can find an 04-they are great cars.

I ordered mine last June, literally during the same two weeks that the dealers were sorting out that there was going to be a limited supply of 04 coupes for the US market. At that time I was able to achieve a 6% discount, but I concur that there is now little motivation for a dealer to provide much of a break other than the continuance of an existing sales relationship.

04 coupe allocations were difficult to come by last summer, so I can imagine that now just finding a spec car is problematic. Good hunting!

I got $6,500 off my new '04 when I specced it in November. That is about the best deal I have heard of.

The cab market is tightening up. As we get closer to the summer, the cabs are more in demand. There are still deals to be found, but not on all colors and each car is optioned differently, some with rather expensive interiors.

Most dealers will deal, but you need to be prepared to walk away from the negotiations. The most amazing offer I got was from a dealer in North Carolina who told me the owner is demoing the tt cab for a few months (his personal car) and afterwards they will offer it for sale - at MSRP.
