I'm going to end up getting a longer line before running the car hard whether Tial provides it or I have one made locally.
I think retrofitting a longer line is wise. I will hold off on installing the larger covers until the lines get sorted out.

I just ordered -4 PTFE hose and fittings to run new water lines AROUND the manifolds....Now I am probably going to have to remove the damn turbos to get to the inside waterline on the turbo....

Might be easier to just remove the header. I was able to get the line on and off without removing either, but I don't know if that is because my car has less stuff in that area than normal cars

I can remove the header in the passenger side, but the bolt in the crevice on the drivers side is possibly unreachable.

Are you close to putting this thing through some high speed tests?

I am getting there. I am working on some gremlins that presented themselves and trying to get the tune right. I will be able to get you some data in a few weeks or so. I can tell you that these turbos are night and day better than hybrid k24s.

The RUF intake is amazingly efficient although at 800+whp power levels going to even larger 3" intake pipes will be beneficial which we will do next time the engine comes out. If I recall, Cervelli calculated that the 3" pipes will reduce the inlet pressure another 75-100 Mb at 850whp.

You will notice the BMC filter. This is what RUF used on the Rturbo originally. It's also what Porsche uses on the 4.0RS. It probably helps slightly although I don't believe we saw much of a benefit over the OEM paper filter although ever little bit helps.

what happened to the Y pipe? Didn't you make one? Gotta imagine the car will be much more efficient with bigger piping and less bends. Though stock stuff seems to work well.

Ahh my driver side line fits fine with the length provided I was able to route it exactly the same it was only the passenger side line that needs to be extended for how I routed them. I don't have the weld ins to the aluminum elbows that you have so that might play a role though.

The gains were surprisingly very very minimal on the larger Y-pipe at 850whp so we abandoned the project after the initial tests. The most gains are on the pre-turbo intake side. We will need to develop a Y-pipe for the 997GT3 top end so that is where the time will be devoted.

For those of use who need to weld on a fitting to make the return line bolt to a -6, Protomotive started to sell these CNCed fittings with the -6 ready to install.

Kind of. They made lots of them. When I reached out to them, they had this in the works, but still was not ready yet. I think their process was to just weld them on previously, but now you can order them and be prepared. I am thinking of buying one because they seem to be a lot nicer than the one I have.

What power level do you need where you start to need these bigger fuel lines?

I'm running 560hp crank hp on stock fuel lines on E85 and dropping fuel pressure a little up top, but unsure if it's out of pump or lines, I think it's the pump.

E85 will need approx 40% more fuel flow than normal gasoline, so 1.4 x 560 = 784hp. I'd say you will be safe up to around 700hp with normal gasoline. This is just my experience. But if you have the possibility, theres absolutely no harm to upgrade them, puts less strain on the fuel pump and you have more had room on the fuel system with bigger lines. It's on my list to do, but as I'm out of turbo, out of fuel pump, exhaust is too small etc, it has a snow ball effect on my car.

You could calculate the flow of the stock lines if you have the ID and length of the lines. Cant remember what size the stock lines are, maybe around 5mm ID diameter.

Stock lines are good about 650whp max on pump gas with a Walbro pump, give or take. We have confirmed a -6AN supply line with Walbro 274 begins to run out of fuel on pump gas above 700whp, if I recall around 730whp. We run a -8AN supply which splits at the engine and supplies each rail individually. Good for 1000+ whp at 5bar base pressure using the Veyron pump. We do not run a return line.
