Bought them in march 2011 on Ebay. There was no blue metal parts tag on them??? Compressors and turbines looks in good condition. Got no experience in turbo rebuilding and here in Montreal the only turbo specialists are asking too much money to overhaul them.... I was thinking of sending them to a tuner in U.S. as a core to get something better may be? I don't have a clue what is the value of these ???? Or should I simply throw them in a garbage ;-( Asking opinion! Thanks.

 

There's a market for sure. Blouch Performance Turbo works on these. Some of the guys who sell the K16 billets get them built from Blouch.

 

The drain tanks - which are never supplied with rebuilt or replacement turbos - are worth selling separately. They're a couple hundred USD each from Porsche.

cores are starting to get harder to come by... i'm sure if you can't find someone that is looking to get the billet upgrade done, a builder like Sam, Mark or Kevin might be able to use it for their inventory.
