Default Restoring Hard Seatbacks

I have Sport seats like in the pic below, the backs are in really bad shape.
Not sure if this is leather or just a coating.
They are in a 2004 911 Turbo Cab.
Looking for any info on how to make these like new, or shops that do this in the Long Island/NY/NJ area.
Ideally I want to paint the backs gloss black but can go with other options.

Leather is all fine, just the backs.

If those are the leather back seats, you should be able to remove the old material using a steamer to soften the adhesive then gently pull the material off. Then probably a couple rounds of adhesive remover, followed by lots of sanding. Good luck.

I think mine (Sport Seats in earlier chassis) were soft touch material, if so you've probably going to need to break those down to shells and then refinish shells separately. (paint or covering) Soft looks looks cool but doesn't wear well.

Those are Boxster sport seats. They are plastic with a rubberized coating. A paint shop should be able to strip them and paint them any color you want.

I was showing those for reference. I have a Turbo Cab with Full leather interior. So I think the backs may be leather but the condition is similar to the above pick.
Can the leather be stripped and then painted with a glossy coat?

You can't paint the leather if that's what you're asking.

I asked this:

"Can the leather be stripped and then painted with a glossy coat?"

Can it be stripped and then the surface painted.

Looking for suggestions on how to get this back to top condition. Any options.

Yes, you can do that, you could also reach out to Frank at Exclusiv Option and have them re done in leather.

I have tried to reach them on numerous occasions, they NEVER Reply.
There is no phone number, I used their website form, no reply. I dm'd them on Instagram, no reply.

So the seatbacks are rubber coated and they don't wear well.
So far I cannot find any body shop or specialist in NY/NJ/PA that can strip the backs and repaint.

Does anyone know of anyone in these states that can do it?
Exclusiv Option would be great but too much of a PITA to remove the seats, ship them to Ca etc....

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I'm interested as well. I thought about having the backs of mine wrapped but haven't been able to find a shop that's willing to do it...
