Those LED lights are driven off of the car's 12/14 V (forget which one it is) ? Wow, that sounds like a very short path to getting power!! Is that what you ended up doing ?

Do you all know if the power is just a standard phone grade wire ? I already used the one that came with the V1 to hardware it into my Z. Can I just use any RJ phone wire ?

Mine is mounted to the side of the passenger visor, clipped between the roof liner and the roof. Reception is fine, the tint has zero effect.

The easiest power is off of the LED light that is at the base of the rearview mirror. A couple of line clamps is all it takes -- done in under 5 minutes.

Yes, but pick the right wires.

I did the total hidden setup. Display is in the mirror, volume and controls are in the blank pop out near the headlight switch and the guts are in the headliner near the rear window. You give up any laser detection but I love the setup. Here is a link to some pics.
