By the way, the Mach-E forum uses a google sheets to track orders, options, delivery status, price paid, destination state, etc. Fairly helpful in predicting when mine would arrive, and how many other blue GT's were coming to California. I doubt you want to open this up to google sheets, but there is some benefit to crowd-sourced data. Maybe you could just take VIN and year, and publish that in a google sheet, and let us populate things like mileage, price, # owners, accidents, etc. And you could periodically ingest that data to your master copy.

This is exactly what I intend to do! I will need a bit more time to convert the VIN's into Google Sheets, but I could certainly use the help of the community to build this out. It was a fun adventure for me, but like I said, some 150 hours into it, and I sim[ply don't have the time to commit to it regularly. As updates are made to that sheet, I will port the data back to the primary file to have a more complete record that will of course be available here.

Thanks for putting this together. So fun to find my car in the list. (Don't ask why I've memorized my VIN)

Re: build dates - Early cars sometimes have the exact day, but most of them only have the month (this can be found on the sticker on the inside of the driver's door MM/YY)

I watch the insurance auctions for totaled 996 Turbos. Maybe you could add a column to show if the VIN comes up in one of those auctions.

This is a very interesting and cool pet project. I knew Lapis was a pretty uncommon color for these cars, but I didn't realize just how rare it was.

i do this stuff for a living (im the guy who emailed you the additional VINS) and i would suggest making another tab with a VIN lookup function so we dont have to click on each tab and it could display all the values/features of said VIN

i can do it ..if you dont mind me hacking your spreadsheet that is . let me know if thats okay and ill do it for you sometime today or this week.

Very interesting work you have done,

I will be interested when you have the cab numbers finished.

I have an 05 vin 675427 so I’m curious to see how unusual it is as for options and color.

Also have a 03 coupe x50 and looks to be very early per vin number 685088 low option car too.

Thank you for all this hard work, this is beneficial to all of us.

First this is awesome, so thanks for the work and time you put in!
Where did you get the source data?
Surely you didn't get the information for each car, so you had to have some source that provided you a breakdown and a way to decode?

Oh yea, is there any way to cross reference the number of vehicles produced by exterior & interior color?
That might lead to a rabbit-hole though, of further comparisons.

This data is incredible, thank you so much for putting this together. My 04 996 turbo cab x50 manual (Basalt with Natural Brown leather) has the deviated carpet with black on bottom... and I know thats rare. I can't wait to see the cab spreadsheet! I found out about this list from a BAT auction.
