hello, Im looking for new brakes (pads and rotors) and suspension for my 996tt. I dont do any track driving and dont live by any mountian roads so its unlikely that I heat up the brakes to the optimal performance temperature and I am not looking for coilover suspension. my driving mosty consists of just driving around with the occasional pull and taking corners, nothing crazy like some people lol. im looking for brakes better than stock but not noisy, low dust, and long life (does not have to be all of these, just preference) and suspension that is still comfortable but has great performance and better than stock, maybe something like the gt2 or upgraded package? all thoughts are appreciated, thanks!

 

Porterfield R4S are very good, low dust pads.

 

I haven't tried them yet but have heard that Hawk HPS pads work well and are very low dust. When mine is due I'll be trying them out, I hate brake dust.

 

I use Hawk HPS with Sebro rotors. Works very well and what dust they do spit out is not black.

 

I think the stock brakes are more than you will ever need for the street.

Interestingly, when I drove @sdematt turbo with standard brakes back to back against PCCBs, I think the standard brakes could do with a little more bite.

 

Does the OP have PCCBs?

 

I would say no, but it is his first post...

 

But, I also don't have ideal pads, GT3 MC, etc. it's totally stock in set up.
