Default Side marker hole pics

This is a weird question but does anyone have pics of the holes where the side markers sit? One of the previous owners had a techart front end installed (very poorly). The "installer" appears to have hacked out the holes and tabs that the side markers mount into, and resorted to gluing the indicators into the holes. I'm going to eventually do a full refresh of the front end but I'm going on a road trip in a couple weeks and want to fab up some temporary brackets so that these things will stay put (without having to resort to the nasty glue solution).

Your problem is not the spring side but where the tab sits most likely. If it doesn't sit in that tab, the spring loaded back won't hold it in place and it will fall out.

Kamlung, thank you for that pic! The side marker hole on my car sure does look similar to what I'm seeing in your pic. I think s65e90 is partially right. I believe whats wrong is that the pocket where the front tab is supposed to sit is too far forward which doesn't allow the spring to seat with enough pressure to hold it in. Thank you both! I think fixing it should be relatively straightforward.

From the cracked paint around the marker, I'm gonna guess that's a glass front bumper? You should have a tiny little nub where that side marker can just push and and wedge against it (look at the marker side and you'll get it) You can make a little tab there and epoxy/glass it to the cover if yours is missing.

maybe bend the spring wider and see if it will catch... maybe it's worn down and not catching the edge?

I wonder if they sit too far forward, for the spring to catch.
