Hey, a fellow 07k guy! I have a pretty built rabbit. Mostly love the motor and not the platform as it's still FWD. Have thought some day I may transplant the motor into something cool that's mid engine and RWD.

Yes, that does make sense, thank you.

Once in a while I just like to floor the Tesla, just like redline the Turbo. Not trying to race anyone. OP, maybe the other driver wasn’t trying neither.

The single motor models are RWD.

I followed a p100? through a very windy mountain road. It just kept squirting out ahead as we left every corner and then i would reel it back in braking and turning.
Exactly the same in my Model 3 until I replaced the factory low rolling resistance tires with something more performance oriented in the Tesla, then not so easy to be “reeled in”. Of course, the range dropped 15% or so. I see the Model 3 as an excellent daily driver, but needs some upgrades to be a proper sports sedan. Like BMW M3 vs 340.

The Tesla has really changed for me what the driving experience “should be”.
Yeah. I used to take a sports car to get milk late at night. Now I mostly just take the Tesla. Last week I experienced the full 1020 horses in my friend’s Model X Plaid while my kid was watching a movies in the middle row and the wives in the rear seats were taking about ordering pie. The amount of horsepower (plus the lack of drama/NVH) accessible during an errand is just insane. And I predict insurance rates will go way up.

Teslas begin to drop off once you get anywhere over 100. Plaid is the exception, it'll keep pulling all the way through. I'd know, I drive a Plaid lol

So, about an effective 1000hp?

How does the Plain not lose traction with those skinny tires?

I got both. The Tesla driver probably didnt want to waste his electrons. The turbo is no match from a deadstop on the street.
