Take your headlights out when you do it. I used a 3m kit.

I use the 3M kit when I restore headlights. It's cheap and has everything you need to do at least two cars. Once done, coat with 2K clear coat and/or have them wrapped with something like Xpel.

Sandpaper and 2k clearcoat. These pics are also before final wetsand and polish. They look better than new and should last a very long time.

I'm leaning towards a kit because it comes with instructions. lol
I do have an orbital polisher. Should I use it?

Yes. 2k clear contains hardener. This makes it a permanent solution. I like the Spraymax 2k. If not comfortable, drop at a body shop. Though I just had a shop tell me those lights above were destroyed due to having heavy holograms. I had to take those down to 320-400 grit! to get them looking perfect.

No, my Turbo's headlights are pristine (in terms of clarity.)

I have used the 3M kit on my Mercedes, and on two of my other vehicles.

what about putting ppf on top of lights. I would like to do this to protect against a rock. Are there any templates or place to order precut?
