pretty easy to do yourself too.

Don't get a precut kit, it leaves exposed edges. Take them into a shop that does PPF and they will wrap them fully and leave no exposed edges.

The previous owner of my car used pre-cut PPF on the headlights and it worked great to protect the lenses, except the edges that weren't covered are yellowed and I'll need to polish those out before I re-wrap them.

Please avoid using clearcoat as they will eventually peel.

I just did my daughter's car today. The headlights were very yellowish and I used HF's Random Orbit 6" DA Polisher/Sander. I went with HF's green pad (medium) and Meguiar 105 buffing compound. I followed with a Yellow pad and Meguiar 205 polisher and I finished up with a White pad. It did great and it was a major improvement. The car is 13 years old with original headlights and she surprised with the results. Tomorrow it's time to buff and polish the TT. If I can do this, anyone can!

Really need to have a UV barrier on the headlights after the polishing. I have used just about every kit out and all yellowed after a while because of lack of a good UV protectant. I had my engine replaced and the car sat outside for a while, UGH. Anyway when I got it back the headlights were very yellow and pealing the original coat of whatever Porsche puts on. On the advice of a friend that runs a paint shop I tried a kit called Cerakote available at Amazon, see link. My headlights did require extra sanding but the ceramic UV coat used at the end is wonderful. I have now recommended it to several others with great success. Give it a try, very easy.

My headlights were F***ed up. So I decided to do some wet sanding. I did it by hand with six different grits starting at 320, on up to 3400 or something like that. Then I used a 3M polishing compound attachment on my drill until I got bored. The lights look alright now.

The seals around the lights and rubber trims on mine all fell off when they were removed for polishing. I bit the bullet and opted for new headlights, I am refurbishing the car and intend to keep it a long time.

Anyone need old headlights?

Yes. One of the YouTube videos I watched did this. 3M stuff available online. It might be a better option.

Xpel does a pre-cut kit. That's what I put on top of my 2K clearcoat. This is the one I got: https://www.xpel.com/Headlamp-Kit-ULTIMATE-PLUS_70

Xenon with washers version.

I watched a review on YouTube yesterday comparing the different kits.
Sylvania and 3M were at the top by far. Biggest difference was the Sylvania came with the sealer and with 3M you had to source your own if you wanted it not to go yellow again.

It only peels if it was done incorrectly.

All this stuff would add up to more money than any kit which has it all.
Where do you get the precut wrap? Sounds like a kit. lol

Everything, sans the wrap, are supply items in my or any other garage. You can purchase minimal amounts of most.
xpel offers precut headlight films ( wrap)
it offers uv protection along with chip protection.
