The Cal*Cool fins actually cool the brake caliper and are quite a bit sturdier than simple bushings. Come with bolts, etc. https://rennkit.com/product-info/brakes/

I made a set of 12mm spacers last night. 12mm is a bit too big, the outside of the pads is off the edge of the rotor. I think 11mm will be perfect. Do watch the clearance between the caliper and rotor at the top and the bottom - it's tight.
What is less satisfactory is that the 80mm bolts are going to be too short. Let me explain. The factory 77mm bolts (actually measured at 76mm on my car) thread into the upright by about 16mm. Adding an 11mm spacer would reduce this to 5mm (!) which is way to short. Changing to an 80mm bolt will only increase this to 9mm, IMHO still not enough. The 997TT 85mm bolts would bring it up to 14mm, which is getting closer. I would prefer a 90mm bolt which would give 19mm insertion depth into the upright, as there is enough thread in the uprights to handle this. The problem, you can't have 90mm bolts. So I am getting 100mm bolts and I will cut them down to 90mm. Actually I will cut them to 89mm +1/-0mm. I am not sure the extra few mm over make much of a difference over the 997TT 85mm bolts so I may get a set of 85mm bolts anyway. The Porsche PN for the 997TT 85mm bolt is superseeded to 9A700758500.

this is great. When I replace my disks next I will go for the 350mm upgrade. If available I would like a set. I also agree it is very generous of you to offer and love the community spirit for our cars!

PSA: When you add spacers to go to 350 and have the calipers off, it’s a great time to switch to Tarett caliper studs of the proper length. Basically you are going with the girodisk conversion sizing as memory serves.

Another thing to check is that your splash shields have good clearance the rotors. Mine were perfect when driving straight and smooth. Turn a little or hit a bump and they screech as they bump into the rotors.
I found both rear splash shields were bent and were less than 1mm from the rotor. I bent them back to where they ought to be and it looks good now. I ended up with 5-6mm of clearance.

I got the spacers made and installed the rotors and pads yesterday. It went great it was pretty easy and a nice little upgrade. The 997 caliper bolts were the exact size. The 11mm spacer held on the end of the 996 bolt was less than 1mm shorter than the 997 bolt.

I concur I had to bend my dust shields on the rears a little bit. I thought I must have bent them, I could not figure out why they would be an issue.

I'm headed to Lime Rock Park tomorrow - stay tuned. I think the biggest improvement is good pads, I've got PFC 08/11 combo.

you shouldn't feel anything different since pad contact area is the same, just should not run as hot as more area to heat up.

Didn't need to change the heat shields at either end.
Here are the telltale temperature indicators from a week's worth of advanced DE driving at Road America over 2 years with the Cal*Cooler plates installed:

Calipers stayed below 340F at 3 wheels and below 350F at back right. I burned the PFC pads down to unusable this past weekend. After a 30 minute run and 5 min cool down, I could touch the calipers, that cool. Note that you can buy the temperature sensor stickers from Brembo as well. They have a range starting at 350F and go up to 450F:

Just mill your 1/2" stock down a little to the desired thickness shown. Then I took a bigger bit to bevel the edges for the bolts. Gives it a nice finished look. Nothing fancy here, but got the job done for me no problem. enjoy! print on a 8.5x11 at full scale. There is no reason why I used 12mm on one hole and 12.5 on the other. I was just playing with tolerances / ease of install. both worked fine if you just wanted to do 12mm
I had these adapters made, thanks a lot for drawing them. However the rear caliper bolt hole distance is 130mm and not 131mm like on the drawing. It was an easy fix with a carbide burr tool and a drill.

Any spacers get turned out from this effort? Still trying to track down a set. Thanks!
