has anyone put dynamat (or similar product) on the rear shelf (behind the seats) to help with drone and vibrations? i searched and didn't find too much but when i pulled the liner the other day the frame was quite hot to the touch and i'm concerned about the rubber material of the dynamat stuff getting too warm/smelling

Should be about $800-1500 in labor to do the clutch depending on the shops hourly rate.

I did a single layer on the whole rear shelf, then I cut out another 4 or so pieces that were roughly 12x10 inches and stacked them in the middle on the top to reduce the ability for the shelf to act like a drum. Doing it this way gives you the benefits of the deadening, but saves a couple pounds of weight. A common misconception people have about sound deadening is that you need to cover every square inch of the panel with multiple layers.

Did the rear deck and then went even further and lined the forward compartment of the rear wheel wells too. I removed the rear speakers, cleaned up the interior surfaces and smacked some Hushmat in there. It really works. Killed all the tire noise and allows me to hear the sweet sound of the engine mechanicals.

I have sound deadening on the rear shelf of my car. No issues with smell or anything. I think it did help a bit with drone and vibration, but don't expect a miracle.

i was thinking of just a couple mats, and not bothering with the whole thing, like you said.

W.Mass, I can give you some contact info. Most of these quotes from what I can tell is them pulling the motor and trans together. Similar to the $1500 labor slave job that takes about 45 minutes to do.

They are using the shop manual provided hours for the quote - you need to go somewhere who knows these cars and knows that the shop manual is high because its including removing the trans.

Had to remove and reinstall my cats (long story) and after a 10 minutes drive I got a CEL. I drove home and concluded I had the O2 sensors backwards. I swapped them, ran the car for a minute (still had the CEL) and took a 5 minute drive and it continued to stay on. Will
it go away automatically or will I need it cleared?
not sure if it matters at all but I tossed in some semi solid motor mounts at the same time
