Default Cannot remove rear driveshaft from hub

This is obnoxious. This driveshaft needs both CV boots replaced and I cannot get it out of the hub.
I have never seen this remover fail to get a driveshaft out of a hub before. I got the other 3 driveshafts out without too much trouble at all.
I believe this one is untouched since it was new. I've heated and beated this thing silly and it still won't budge. At this point I'm sure I need a wheel bearing too. I took the brakes off so I didn't set the pads on fire with the torch.

Try drenching it with a mix of equal parts AFT and acetone, let sit over night and then try heat again.

I'd be ordering a new hub and axle, getting the saw ready... assuming you've been heating and soaking the interface for a day or so, if it hasn't moved with that puller on, it's not going to or will flare the axle out and render it junk anyways
it's probably not 'seized' but rather the splines have fretted

I would tend to agree with the above; that is a fairly sizable gear puller, so you can get some good leverage onto the axle - if it ain't coming off with that, it is likely buggered beyond saving.

I agree, I believe the splines are jammed in the hub somehow. I'm probably going to get a used upright/bearing/hub assembly and another Tip driveshaft.

Yes, that puller is pretty stout. The threaded rod is 1"x25 TPI and it has an slugging wrench so that you can use a heavy hammer to turn the threaded rod. I bet it's good for 10-12 tons and I have never seen it not get a driveshaft out before. It's an OTC 7394.

I've discovered the Turbo Tiptronic uses a different driveshaft from the regular Tip. Also outer CV joints aren't available separately so I need an entire driveshaft.

I've always used the air hammer in the link below. It comes with all the attachments and pops even the most stubborn axle like it's coming out of butter. Literally take 2 seconds. Has lots of other uses too. Worth every penny.

I have an air hammer, not that one though. Never though to give it a try.

But the setup is toasted now. I heated it with the oxy-acetylene until I ran out of oxygen and still can't get the axle out, with the screw press or with the air hammer. I will get a used wheel carrier/hub assembly and driveshaft.

I have used rear wheel carriers if you need one. Also have a new rear hub and bearing on the shelf.

If OP doesn't need the rear hub and bearing, I'd be interested. About to tackle this job as well while my dampers are out getting rebuilt.

I will find out in a couple days, I may have a lead on some parts locally.
