Well, I got tired of trying to use a garden hose & electrical tape, so I sprung for a whopping $10 for a vacuum wand attachment so I could possibly avoid the annual front bumper removal. Results......not great. Firstly, this thing clogs up so easily, you spend half the time clearing the clog by ramming a thick wire down its throat until the suction returns. Secondly, the rectangular shape fits nicely between the grill slats, but the resulting orientation is 90 degrees off from ideal. Thirdly, although it is quite flexible, it won't hold a shape, making it very difficult to reach the center opening's lower corners. Bottom line, my bumper will be coming off every winter. Maybe I'll start a GoFundMe to recover my $10.

It's annoying but not bad taking the bumper off once a year. I have never run any type of mesh on the front bumper. Only one rad casualty and that was from a mini hurricane and a branch was sent through the front CSF rad. Even the stock mesh is big enough to let most stuff through and the side rad angles are like begging for debris to get sucked in and lodged. It's definitely annoying. Moreso in areas where you go through seasons.

Mine load up every Fall (leaves). Not that we actually have seasons here. My original side radiators gave up at 14 years from compacted, accumulated junk + moisture = erosion of the fine tubes (not the tank seals). Pretty sure they had never been cleaned with bumper-off thoroughness. I don't mind the bumper removal, but I am still going to install the grills to keep the load to a minimum. Did the DIY method on my previous Turbo, but I really like the Rennline attachment method (invisible and reversible).
