Default Power steering pump vibration.

Does anyone know if the ps pump is supposed to vibrate? I changed fluids and broke the o rinf under the cap but fitted it so the cap wasnt loose. I dont remember if it vibrated before, does anyone know or have an answer? If anyone could touch their cap when the car is warm and get back to me? Tia.

Mine runs with the engine; if there is an off axis vibration, could be a bearing in either pump, or the drive pulley.

The only vibration you should feel should match the frequency of the engine.

If you totally changed the fluid you probably got air into the system which will make the pump whine until the air works itself out. Several lock to lock turns while running and making sure the reservoir is full will probably do it. It may not be full
