The f car was so much better I can’t do it justice. I said then that I have to have one one day and it never went away.
The Murci is a completely different experience than a gallardo though.

Before finality; recommend a gum ball rally ticket week to a vacation track day someplace. Bet it will change your mind.

I vote to scratch the itch. Get the 430, but do the homework in getting a good one.

If I listened to most internet chatter about owning Ferraris, I still wouldn’t be owning one. Over 6 years ago, I was able to pull the trigger on a 355 Challenge race car as a replacement for my 2nd F car. I still enjoy very much the driving experience and have not found a replacement with similar attributes under $500k. I find that it’s a great functional compliment to my daily driver, all-season, go-anytime, park-anywhere 996TT.

If getting a F car means selling the 996TT, a 430 (particularly a stick) is not a bad choice at all. And if budget allows, I’d try a 458.

Question, if you're not driving your current car much, what makes you think you'll drive more in your next one?

I'm into what's considered old age (but still keep going) and have gone through the "need to get X" feelings. Many times, the getting is exciting, the having, once you get it it, is anti-climactic.

You have a a desirable car that performs better than 99% of the vehicles you see on the road. Porsche just fits better to drive every day, slow or fast, practical, my opinion.

If you want more excitement, do more track days/ events in the Porsche, maybe add some performance modifications. You may come to appreciate it more and save yourself some capital in the bargain.

Good luck.

Think out of the box. Forget 430 or Gallardo. Caterham 620 or Ariel Atom. Or both.

Get a girlfriend - preferably a red head - that will add some excitement to your life.

I can afford a 430. Can’t afford a divorce so that sort of excitement I can do without.
