Default 04 996tt clutch

Have 04 with 500/500 HP/ Torque ECU flash , 35000 miles no problems but I am going to get hoses pinned this winter since now black balled by many track day organizers, PCA in particular. Do 4 to 5 DE weekends a year , plan to do clutch at same time although it works fine for now it has seen a lot of track time. Any thoughts on stay with stock clutch vs "higher performance version" thanks Mike P

I have some good options on my clutch page..

It really boils down to "how much track time" and "IF" you want to keep the dual mass flywheel.

Thanks Kevin, by the way I bought your ECU program years ago and it is fantastic.
Was not planning on flywheel change.MP

The OEM clutch (as well as the nasty oem boosted clutch hydraulics) are not really the strong point on these cars and definitely worthy of an upgrade...

Lots of good combos, but retaining the stock dual-mass flywheel, upgrading to a GT2 clutch disk and the Sachs 764 pressure plate (along with a full GT2 OEM-style clutch slave conversion) has worked great for me.

I'm definitely a fan of the LWFW with 4.0 RS disc and Sach 487/764 pressure plate, with GT2 conversion. Extremely driveable, engine revs much better, really minimal extra noise.
For me at least, if I'm replacing something I'm definitely upgrading it.
