+1

Also, the difference in torque that these cars make (even stock) over a GT3 is substantial. I’ve found that I do have to drive a bit differently (timing when the boost comes in) than a NA car but the HP and torque advantage allows me to surprise some folks in newer hardware out on track.

I will tell you that the gt2rs 1-3 is kinda overblown in terms of benefit (COMPARATIVE TO OTHER UPGRADES YOU COULD MAKE FIRST).

I would run your current trans ragged and then when the trans lets go do the gears. Opening a good box just to swap gears isn't a good move imo given some of the other areas you could spend the $$.

Agreed - this is why I continue to drive it with the Gbox 2nd gear detent, however, as I understand it, it is still possible for the problem to manifest itself, and that just bugs me.

So, I have started a slush fund to put away a few bucks every month in anticipation of having to do the fix, at some point. I'm pretty happy with everything I have done mechanically; the suspension is pretty awesome once I got rid of the squeak, and I love the way it sounds, my primary goals over the next few months are to deal with a nick of paint missing on the hood, a minuscule, barely visible dent on the left rear flare, and the spot where someone tagged me on the rear bumper cover. I think that, mechanically, I should only have to change the oil over the next few years, unless, of course, the transmission breaks...

Don't put a dime of money into body work on a car you intend to take to the track at all unless you also do full ppf. I don't a 1/10000th of the track time a lot of other guys do but what I can tell you from my limited experience is that its hell on the car's paint/body. Cost of doing business.

I have no intention of tracking it; if I were to track something, it would be my Sti as it has a full cage, fully developed suspension and diffs, expansive cooling upgrades, etc. etc.
