Here is an x50 polar aero with gt3 buckets more miles but I am pretty sure this went for 50 or 51.
It's all about timing to get the best price. This one also sat a while.
Then maybe it was the interior color; not a good mix with Polar Silver IMO.
Yes many people hate the grey interior (I don't). On the other hand it's an X50, which should have helped.
To me, though, the turnoff is "Installed Ohlins R&T coilovers plus Tarrett drop links, front monoball camber plates and rear thrust arm bushings (total parts and labor cost of $6k). H&R sway bars.".
I wouldn't want any of that stuff on a street 996tt, and I suspect many other people feel the same. Not everyone is looking for maximum "beast mode" dialed-in handling on a grand tourer kind of car. I loved just the way my car handled from the factory. I didn't feel like it needed anything .
I don't hate it either. I just don't think it's good with a Polar Silver exterior.

Agreed, and IMO it doesn't work with Seal Gray either. The first car I looked at back in '14 was a 29K mile local 2003 Seal Gray with the light gray leather. Even if the car didn't have issues, I knew then and there that I had to have the all black, sans the supple/drapped.
Polar (or even Arctic) with that Metropole Blue...forget about it. Fantastic combo that's not common and has great contrast!
And of course I just did a google search and Metropole was even available on Seal Gray!
I hope the 996 gods are with me on this one! I searched a LONG time to find a car this clean and original, and I saw/drove a lot of cars I hated. This is an easy buy for anyone who wants a no nonsense clean car and doesn't want to deal with mods, mileage, etc.
You could also get in touch with Techweenie, he's in your neck of the woods and brokers Porsche deals. No idea how much his fee is but I'd be surprised if you can't net $52k.
