Default Bilstein PSS9 parts diagram

Hey all,

I picked up a used set of PSS9's and I need to confirm that I have all the necessary parts.

The PSS10's instructions show an "adapter" aka a machined washer that sits on top of the spring seat.

I don't have that on my PSS9's. Is it something that bilstein added for the Pss10's? Or am I missing it?

A picture of all the parts or an exploded parts picture would be very helpful!

Front or back? There shouldn't be one in front, and I think 996 has a flat plate in back instead of slanted like 986/987, when i need instructions and can't figure out, i check out the instructions for the various Tarett pieces that go with the part I'm trying to solve, there might be some clues there?

edit: i see they are for turbo, so my comments are way off... But the Tarett instructions for their camber plates may have some info, they helped me on my 986 pss9 installation.

Well, it's a bilstein part, so the tarret instructions won't help.

I need to get my hands on the PSS9 install instructions to compare them with the Pss10's and see if I need that washer on the front struts or not

Read German? I remember there is a part from the stock assembly that must be used for the PSS9's...I think it was the top "washer".

Thanks but those instructions are for the 993's, not the 996's...

Nobody has the PSS9 996 Turbo install instructions anywhere? Or just has a picture of the front strut assembly or can tell me if there's a conical, machined, large washer that goes on top of the spring seat underneath a large concave washer?

here is an old thread that discusses issues with PSS9's. https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...ll-issues.html
There is mention of the requirement to use the OEM upper strut thrust washer on the front struts.

yeah, I know I need to reuse the factory torrington bearing. I think I've confirmed with Bilstein that I don't need that adapter/washer they show in the PSS10 instructions. I had to order swaybar end links and a pin style coilover wrench.

I've got something like 4 sets of coilover wrenches at home and of course none of them fit the PSS9's.
