Congrats, hope the wheel shows up as advertised. I've had my DCT for 8 years now and still love it. The flat bottom gives me a bit more leg room (6'2"), and thick grip feels great while driving. I can confirm the stock airbag will fit without problem. If I recall correctly (two) T25 bolts on the back. I too thought about getting a new airbag when I purchased the wheel, but after seeing how the new wheel and old airbag looked, couldn't really notice a big difference and just left it.

Yes, I am starting the see the logic in that - I also, over the down season - took the seats out and re dyed them as I had some wear on the out drivers bolster that somewhat irritated me, so I have a shiny new interior. I hope the airbag lives up to it...

It's not.

I have the FVD "Daytona GT" steering wheel. It's smaller in diameter (340mm) with a thicker grip (as compared to stock). Because of the smaller diameter, FVD includes a fitted airbag/leather cover with the steering wheel. The leather color was a custom order from FVD (Metropol Blue to match my interior). The steering wheel required a different hub, and I had that covered in the same custom leather color.

Very nice and the airbag cover matches! looks like the same wheel that Ruf uses - is that accurate?

I don't know the answer to that. They look to be the same general design but I don't know if the RUF is 340mm and/or has as thick a grip as the FVD. I bought the Daytona GT from FVD because I really liked the overall design, the included the airbag/cover in leather, and the custom options available. FVD was great to work with (a shout out to Rhonda for her great work, although she may no longer work for FVD after all the years its been since I worked with her). The steering wheel, components, leather quality/color, and custom color stitching are all of very high quality and workmanship.

I was going to go with a Momo 350mm wheel then decided I had better keep the airbag, and frankly, when I found this, I thought it was the same as the FVD one you had... the more I look at your picture, the more I want to buy a new airbag...

I have a basic T96 wheel that I bought last year from a local 996 Turbo guy who sold his car. I paid $450 for a virtually new wheel, so around half price which meant I had no choice but to buy it. I wasn't really in the market for a different wheel, but MotoJB convinced me this was a win/win deal as I could always sell it for what I paid.

As others have stated, the T96 wheel works with the stock airbag/airbag cover. Color match was very close. Close enough for me anyway. It's not that much smaller in diameter vs. stock, but it is much thicker and I haven't met anyone yet who thinks it's out of place on my car.

DCTMS is local (San Jose) and Ivan not only took my call when I was having horn issues--the horn was turning on during hard cornering--he also sent me a few pics on how to adjust the horn contact pickups.

That looks good - I am looking forward to it! Also, I do appreciate a meatier wheel, fits my disturbingly big hands better.
