Need help diagnosing potential clutch problem
#16
Thanks lol never knew that part existed. I don't think it would be this piece either. Vibrations would happen during all driving. I'm having same issues as OP only under full boost and WOT. Otherwise car drives and idles well.

It is incorrect to say the vibration would happen all the time.

Just as dcruz90 described, car drives and performs just fine except under full boost and WOT. No issue in 1st gear, just 2nd and up. Also, noticed the other day that in 3rd gear and higher where you have more time before hitting redline, that it seems to work itself out and and will smooth out before having to shift to next gear.

I realized I never updated this post with the solution to my problem. After going through the low cost items that might be the problem - motor mounts, air filter, fuel filter, etc - decided it was time anyway for new plugs and coils. That was the problem. Runs like a beast now. BTW, putting this baby up for sale. For anyone looking for a stock 03 TT coupe, 6 speed with X50 in near perfect condition, 37K miles and a beautiful color combination of Orient red with Natural brown interior, I have the car for you. At age 72 and with a bad back, looking for something a little easier to get in and out of. PM me if interested. It won't be cheap but it will be worth it.

Lol its funny that the same description of the issue was a totally different solution for me. It was the clutch for me, it couldn't handle the tune and the exhaust. Also my guibo was shot. I noticed an immediate improvement once i got my clutch changed out.
I've also changed the plugs and coils and ziptied all my boost hoses, replaced my #16 check valve and upgraded diverters since this post. Glad it worked out for you! Maintenance is key on these older cars.
