Bummer sorry it happened but a fortuitous outcome
Hitting the debris actual “caused” the coolant pipes to come loose, opening the door for an insurance claim? Did the shop find evidence of the debris causing damage?
I appreciate all your posts in the forum as I was following the same timeline when I was looking. You’ll be missed here. GL with whatever you choose as your new toy

congrats on the good news. the "daoists" would've suggested that though we would all think the coolant fittings going out would be bad news, they would say "maybe" lol. seems like the bad news has turned of its own accord
my friend that helps me with my car is a porsche tech and works on ALL of the 911's daily. he knows of my long term itch to get into something "newer" and i LOVE the 991 s targa. but he tells me, long terms its a real gamble as he swears the build quality is for sh*t. this of course runs counter to the time honored notion of " get the newest you can afford etc".
also, the 997.1 tt was the LAST of our.... never mind.. something to consider. GL whatever you do. hard to pass on a 997.2 - gts S let alone a tt.
