Sorry to hear that happened. Do you know which one blew? Some of them can be repaired without removing the engine.

I’ll take a closer look, if it’s one of the more accessible ones I’m just going to JB weld it in. Nearest Porsche Indy is 200 miles away.

For or those that have jb welded can you please offer some tips. Also is JB Weld only applied to hose after it’s inserted or do you apply then push back in?

Remove the pipe, clean it well with sandpaper or abrasive pad. Clean the manifold fitting the same way. Apply JB weld to pipe and insert. If you want be really fancy knurl the pipe after cleaning.

I’ll pull the air box and y pipe later today to see if I can see which one popped. As I understand it all but one or two can be fixed with engine in. Fingers crossed I get an easy one.

let’s say it’s an easy one, will I have to flush remaining coolant before I fill up with new coolant?

A full coolant flush depend on you. I would just top it up.

I believe when you jb weld it you apply jb on both sides and insert and turn to get mechanical lock. I recall seeing this on a DIY video on the coolant pipes.

Can you pin every coolant line from the top on a 996 turbo without dropping the engine? From the video, it looks like the 996 GT3 you can.
