For Sale: Very Capable 2002 Turbo
Unfortunately selling my very fast, very capable 996. I will miss it, but I am moving across the country to a place the car would not get much use.

You guys want to go check out this auction - plenty of drama being caused over demand for a DME report by a commenter named Pnut, who has never even bid on a car on BaT, much less bought one.

Despite the fact that several commenters have already pointed out the irrelevance of a DME report on a tuned 996tt, Pnut remains hellbent on getting Eurotrio to produce a DME report. Nice job by Pnut in trashing Eurotrio's auction, although it is clear Pnut will never bid on anything. Classic.

Thankfully, it looks like there are plenty of sane commenters. The nonsense doesn't look as bad as expected, as annoying as that one guy is.

That one comment, "Probably a less knowledgeable set of buyers is a better place for this. I see disaster imminent." pretty much sums up the mentality of the BaT circlejerk from what I usually see. People there seem to think that BaT is some exclusive, obscure club for only the most discerning and knowledgeable gear heads and enthusiasts. I can't imagine wanting to be a seller there unless the car is bone stock, pristine and perfect in every way.
