Bilstein B8

I had seen a few posts about the H&R being too low, actually delayed putting them on my car for quite some time out of concern.
I finally installed them with some B8s, and maybe they will settle a bit more, but so far my opinion is they are absolutely not too low, at least not with my tire/wheel setup.
I'll post more impressions after I get to drive them a bit, but a few pictures for now.

Awesome. It's definitely got a few more pounds behind it, but nothing offensive. Only a few miles on it so far, but initial impressions is that feel, take up and engagement is predictable and crisp compared to hydro-boosted setup!
Your welcome to test drive it sometime...

What spacers did you use? Can they be bought somewhere or did you make them yourself?
I have the B8s and H&R springs. They ended up being quite low, too low for me. I ended up adding spacers to get it up to GT2 height. After a year and 3 front Aero lips i have gotten the hang of not destroying the front lip. Definitely much more crisp handling, ride is comparable to stock on normal smooth roads. When you do get big dips and G-outs it is much stiffer. If i had it to do over again i would have held off, saved up and gotten the Ohlins R&T

I made the from "thick fender washers" from the ace hardware store. They just slip over the three mounting studs and then seat on the body sheet metal. Basically shimming down the shock and top hat. The tech at H&R recomended that I not shim the spring on the shock assy as it may cause coil binding at full travel.

I got about 1/4" - or 6.5mm - of thread sticking over the top of the nuts on the front shocks. How much will my front get raised if I get a 1/4" billet spacer made and install it?
