My first Porsche and I love it!
Been waiting for many years to get a 911 Turbo. I bought my 2004 996 a few weeks ago with 38K miles and completely stock. Spoiler was repaired with the OEM repair kit and the car runs great. Thinking of changing out the rims and maybe a mild tune. Don't want to go crazy. Yet! Here are some pics. the dealer had posted and a pic. of the stereo upgrade I just finished which turned into a major job that took me a couple of weeks to finish. Tore our the entire audio/nav system including amp, wiring and all speakers. I left the rear deck that has the subs alone since I wanted to keep it looking stock. Anyway to install 2 small subs in the rear deck with an amp and have it sound good?

She's a beauty, and a manual at that too! Congrats on the car and welcome to the forum I've built quite a few of those cars, I'll shoot you a PM and we can chat a bit about the wheels/tune and anything else you have questions on.

When manufacturers intermix the cars computer system, with it's NAV/Audio systems, it's nothing but a pain in the ***. To avoid the issue, I throw a bluetooth tube speaker on the back floor and call it a day. Same with my M5, if I change out the Audio/Nav, I lose all the computer information (mpg, security coding, etc.). Oh well, I listen to the engine most of the time anyway.

Welcome to the Super Fried Eggs Club! Get an UWM tune, you wont be sorry. Personally, I would update the suspension first.
As for your sound system, PM me and ill send you pics of my set up. I have sub box behind the rear seats right above the shock towers.
