My recently-purchased Cab came with 19" Champion RG 19s. Very lippy.

How is this car from the lip era? The OEM wheel have no lip.

Thanks for all the feedback. The 2nd pic is actually my car. I pulled the trigger. 04 Turbo Cab X50. It has Champion RG5's that seem to desperately need spacers! Will add them and then decide if I still want a different look.

Makes me wonder if you have NB RG5s. My WB RG5s are 18x8.5 and 18x11.5 with perfect offsets and resultant nicely stuffed wheel wells. Any spacers on mine would push the rims outside the body lines of the car and that's a no-no.

I too was on the fence with this and ultimately decided to go with the OZs in GT2 size; not because I was particular to concave/stepped wheels, but I felt that the OZ was more inline with the original equipment design, ie, 'turbo twists'... Also because I could not find a set of factory GT2 wheels...

Those OZs look fantastic, and by ALL accounts are super strong and trouble-free. I was headed down that path until I saw the super deep concave (non) Forgestars. I'm almost 4 years in on the Forgestars, no issues to report, finish is holding up like new.

I do think the the concave look is a bit more current than the deep step lip, but wheel design is a very subjective matter!

I think just about everyone can agree that the OZs look great on the 996 Turbo, in both std. and GT2 sizes.

I'm also running the graphite OZ and someone said recently they aren't making them in 12's any more. Hope that's not so.
