Yes, a bit more.

The question becomes which is more important to the owner, more lag or more torque.

IMO the k16 turbos have too much lag, but I live with them anyway.

That doesn't help with lag.

Driving along at a steady 3500 rpm there is lag with the k16 when you floor it (worse with the k24).

If accelerating at WOT with a shift at say 6000 rpm, the boost is dumped as soon as you depress the clutch, and there is lag when flooring it again post shift.

Turbo lag is a way of life in a stock k16 996 Turbo; worse in a stock k24 996 Turbo. The best option IMO is to get Kevin's best k16/k24 zero clearance turbochargers, which I might do someday.
