Help with offsets?
Hi there, have a C4S but figure you widebody guys could help me out. My car came with Victor Equipment Badens, and from what I can tell from their offered sizes, they seem to be
18x8 ET 45 Front
18x11 ET 36 Rear
The car is also lowered on PSS10s.
I've done some reading on the forum and I see people say that a 36 offset rear should be flush with the rear, but that's far from the case with my setup. Does anyone have any experience with what offset on an 18x11 gives that really flush look? I'm about to get an H&R 18mm for the rears to start but would appreciate any insight. This would take me to 18x11 ET18 in rear. Unless I'm completely wrong about my existing offset.

Thanks!

Sorry, not much help other than a bump to the top. But, here's a link to a thread elsewhere that might be helpful:

With no change in offset, adding 1" of width (25.4mm) to the wheel will add 1/2" (~13mm) to each side of the wheel. That's why Nzo suggests adding +13 to the offset to get the same fender spacing on an 11" vs. a 12".
If you're really pushing the limits, however (as it sounds like you want to do), you need to start taking into account tire stretch, etc. In the pic above, there is some tire stretch (which you probably wouldn't have as much of on an 11"), and who knows if his fenders are rolled.
My setup is 18x12 ET38, and even with -2.4 camber, my 315/30/18's are as close as possible to the fender without doing any rolling.

Thanks for the info, do you have any photos of your setup for reference?

Yea its difficult to get super detailed just looking at a picture as manimal mentioned. If I had to guess the one you posted is using 305 rears or maybe 295? Tire size/stretch/camber/ride height all contribute a lot. To give you an idea here is mine with about -3 rear camber and rolled fenders with 335/30/18.

Hah thank you, yea they are classics, 9/12 +40 all around with a 7mm spacer in front to clear the caliper. I don't know if this link will work but if so you can see some other angles to get a better idea of what it looks like. https://www.flickr.com/photos/126074741@N08/albums Older pics have 315 in the rear but same idea.
