Default Car alarm going off?

Posted this in the normal 996 Thread, didn't realize there was a seperate thread for turbos, sorry admins.
So I Just bought a 2001 996 TT, I noticed that the alarm was going off only when the windows were down and the sunroof was open.
I remember that i have a pine tree air freshner on my rear view mirror, are those little black things near the lights movement sensors (Infra-red Guard?) and thats why the alarm was going off?
Or is it something else?

no movement inside the car if alarm is on or it goes off.

Hmmmm how do we know you own the car and aren't trying to steal it? Info on the alarm system is in the manual.

I'm not sure if you're serious but someone already answered the question, thanks.

some of the 996tt folks can be a little, how shall we say nicely, pompous in their comment replies. Just ignore them and look for the technical replies. Also, welcome to the forum!
