From what I've gathered, the Aero wing creates more downforce on the back, giving the front more lift. That's why the Aero lip is added to keep the front planted.
The non Aero cars have less downforce on the back so require less downforce on the front.
Now think about the rear downforce on a C4. That's why the C4 lip can get away with having that higher center cut out. Less downforce all around.
The GT2 has the greatest rear downforce of them all with its massive wing. That's why it has the radiator vented over the hood instead of below the car, to push down the front even more.
Correct on the side skirts.

^ All correct. The aero peices are all balanced with each other.

I'm sure at 130+ you might notice some aero impact from a different front lip, but don't sweat it for anything short of track days.

I think with the C4S front run with that honking aero rear spioler you would feel some front lift at around 90 mph.

I didn’t get the C4S one with the swoop in the middle, I got the generic turbo replacement one that looks like the aero one but without the dramatic angle and added length.

Very nice turbo. You will enjoy it and get a lot of compliments especially from kids when they see the "turbo" on the rear trunk.

BTW. What spoiler is that install on your car. I saw a similar one installed on a 997 but never on a 996.

It’s the optional factory AeroKit. Was about $7800 new and was the rear spoiler, painted sideskirts, and the aero front lip which is also painted to match.

Default Armrest

when my elbow is better, I plan to redo the dash and smooth the surface better and then re-apply the vinyl with some help.

In the meantime, I figure I would try to recover the armrest. It’s currently leather, but the color had worn off and the leader wasn’t in good condition. Plus I had some scraps left over. Here is the work in process.
