We also supply a part called the MicroModule that prevents the spoiler warning.

Can confirm this morning that cutting off the broken microswitches and wiring together the more proximal (gray/black) wires and separating the more distal (blue/black) wires prevents any spoiler warning. Thanks to some guy named Andres on the 6SO forum!

Please limit your driving to 74 mph or below; I've read on this forum that 75 is dangerous. Stick to the right hand lane with the slow trucks on the freeway, in the 80 mph sections.

Hope this helps :-)

You are correct, since eRams have internal sealed limit switches on both rams (like the Carrera GT) there is a need to fool the ECU. The same device would fool the ECU for a fixed wing, without having to put in a new wiring loom. Also works if someone inadvertantly presses the dash switch, unlike taping / zip tying microswitches down or simply connecting wiring.

Just connecting wires together in this situation would not be something I would do. For one thing, it is "inelegant," and for another it is likely to confuse future owners, especially beyond the next one you sell to, whereas a module or other identifiable part should not.

Exactly why I ordered a GT2 harness and some other pieces for GT2 wing install I'll do if the hydraulic OE fails, unless I go with Kevin's fix.
Lots of ways to skin a cat, all ones my dog is fine with.

Default Spoiler issue

I have just started having an issue where the warning lights come on but everything seems to function OK. Lights come on when it raises at 75 then the warning goes away when it lowers at 35. Same with manually raising and lowering. Pending doom I'm sure.

this seems odd, as usually the only way to clear the spoiler failure warning is to cycle the key.

best to be "proactive" asap once any funkiness is observed and catching it "early" while it probably only needs added pentosin to bring the fluid up to optimal levels is *usually* all that is needed.

as i just noted in the OTHER near daily spoiler alert thread, i just re-bled mine after the last re-bleed lasted about 5 years or so. that would be TWO successful pentosin refills in approx 7 years.

catching the "issue" early is key.

I agree - so long is there aren't any other issues. Fluid changes won't fix bad seals, suspect ones maybe - but not cracked ones.

agree, no rebleed's gonna fix broken stuff. but the usual ( initial ) cause of spoilers acting up, is simply "low fluid".
cheers.

The OEM seals flat spot around the inner cylinder and outer bore. They won't magically go round again. Stop leak may swell them slightly. Or as in my case , cause a blow out, game over.

I have wondered what was the impetus to your innovative and more permanent solution to "flaccid wing" was!

Every time I think to buy your 4" e-ram kit? A re-bleed cures my cars spoiler dysfunction for another few years lol

But nothin last forever!

Should we nickname Dave's kit "CIALIS"?
