Default Das Sport Vs. Tequipment Roll Bar

I'm in the market for a roll bar for my new 996TT. Anyone have an opinion as to which of these products is best (Das Sport or Tequipment). I'm interested in safety/strength, appearance, weight, ease to install/remove, ability to anchor harnesses, value/price issues.
Thanks
JP

Thanks, John
I think I read somewhere that the weight of the Tequipment bar was 150lbs! Doesn't that sound a bit much?

I heard the tequipment bar is somewhere around 40 lbs. I have the dassport one on the way which is a bit heavier due to the thicker tubing and gauge steel.

Actually owning one myself, I would love to know what the official weight of the Porsche roll bar is?

40 pounds doesn't sound too bad...

40-50 lbs sounds right, since I did the install myself and it was pretty easy to pick up and position in the car without too much trouble until it was time to bolt it in...

Check out the following page from Suncoast Motorsports. They sell the Tequipment bar, and they are saying that it weighs 150 lbs! I find this hard to believe, but this is the only source I can find that lists any weight information.

That's because it comes in 100lbs of packaging. Believe me, they pack it very carefully with a ton of boxing ecetera in order to protect it during shipping...

Believe me I just installed it...It weighs about 50-60lbs

There's no way the Tequipment roll bar weighs 150lbs. It's probably less than 40lbs. I doubt it weighs 50lbs. I installed mine by myself and it's easy to move around.

Oak,

What kind of rims are those on your TT? They're the best rims I've seen on a TT. Great choice.

Those are HRE 843R's, I agree they are the best, which is why I am ordering a set

Just installed a Tequipment rollbar. If it weighs 40lbs, I would be surprised. It was very easy to manuever and pick-up, but for its size.
