UK Vintage Racing Spectator Events
Sorry a bit off topic, but hoping that one of the members from the other side of the pond might recommend a few vintage racing events in the UK which are entertaining and interesting to attend.
I had originally hoped to go to the Goodwood Revival races in September but the logistics and cost are a bit more than I expected. I presume there are other races around the country in the fall and spring which are less well known but still fun for the casual spectator.
Thanks

The biggest & best is the Silverstone Classic, held over 3 days. A huge range of old stuff is out on track on all 3 days. Everything from pre-war sports cars up to historic F1 cars. Access to the pits is free & open to all. It's a great atmosphere & well-organised. Loads of car clubs get special infield parking so that can be an interesting interlude when you've had enough racing.
It's on at the end of July this year:

Silverstone looks fantastic, unfortunately it won't work with our schedule.
Can you recommend something, perhaps on a smaller scale, in the fall or spring?
Thanks

Yes, the members meeting at Goodwood is a good call. Always a lovely selection of iconic race cars & Goodwood is a proper old-school circuit with virtually no modern safety features; a rare thing in this age of health & safety!
Another one to consider is the Donington Historic Festival in April

I've never been to the Brands Hatch Historic Festival, but I do love Brands Hatch as a circuit to drive (the GP circuit, the Indy is too short imho). Seems to be held back-end of May.
