Default Lime Rock Park and RS Wing

Well, after several years of ownership of an OEM RS Wing I finally changed the angle of the wing and measured the results.

I setup the RS wing with the 8 degree shims and ran with that setting for years. This Friday I ran with the 4 degree shims on a dirty track on a hot and humid day. So, not favorable for high HP conditions.

To no surprise I was faster on the main straight. The question was would any other parts of the track be compromised.

In summary:
2+ mph (via traqmate), and no compromise anywhere else on the track. If you think about it, the uphill and downhill have a lot of compression and the Aero is not really needed.

When I go back to Watkins Glen I will put back the 8 degree shims.

Mid Ohio is similar. The car is just as quick or quicker with 4 degree because it really relies on mechanical grip and the car needs to be able to rotate

At the glen, I was amazed at how much difference the 8 degree made amazing up more time in the turns than it gives away in the straights.
