It wasn't too long ago that you could buy an 18K 996 GT3 for this amount of money.

i think that result is right on the money. i was thinking $165-175k assuming it had no baggage.
for that color combo and mileage just above 'bubble car' mileage, i think that seller did well.
the 6GT3 is always going to be the original GT3, but the 7GT3s have huge appeal. the 6GT3 may not become an e30 M3 type icon, but it's right there.
the 6GT3RS, otoh, is likely 'the one'.

To each of his or her own. Relatively when speed isn't as important anymore, I much prefer the 996 GT3 look over the 997.1 GT3, not to mention the sunroof is just doesn't look right on 997.1 cars. Owned both, prefer the 996 feel too but I know it's very subjective.

EDIT: I called an talked to Gary. They want $325k for it. In their video I think they state it costs $75k-$100k to federalize. The guy from Maui said it was $40k, didn't he? Regardless, let's say it's $75k. That's $250k for the car.
Tha Maui car sold for $215k w/ fees in January with 39k miles. Not a diamond, but fun. It is worth $100k to get one close to "in the wrapper"? To me, it might. I like to be the guy that puts the wear marks on the car.

$325k for that blue RS? That's some serious coin, but you can ask whatever you want when you have the only blue one in the US that is fully federalized. The blue ones are pure sex to me! That is an amazing car that is going to only go up in value over time.
