People throw money at cars all the time. Many times it has nothing to do with "needing it".

Ask me how I know.

Passage of time. When I had my engine dropped to do the coolant lines, it was like, might as well replace all these coil packs, plugs, hoses, reservoirs, fittings, LSD, the list goes on and on.

Make a big deal about hiding the VIN, then leave it in the listing.

This one is still for sale as well at ASG Miami (previously on BAT). Price is not currently listed but I recall they recently had it listed for 130k.

what's the deal with the holes cut in the bottom of these seats? I can't imagine any came from the factory like that?

The ol’ while you’re in there, you might as well… lol—gets expensive real quick.

I have some experience with this type of thing.

You know… when I saw “23K in recent service…” I thought, what the hell could they have possible done to it… then I looked at the list and realized it was everything I did to my 6GT3 after I picked it up (also a 19K mile car). Aside from having Shark Werks pin the coolant lines, I did all the work myself and bought parts at a decent discount from Gaudin Porsche. I bet well over half that Silver car’s service bill was labor. This is all pencils out for me. It looks like a hell of a clean car for the right buyer.

"Porsche parts" and "decent discount" are two phrases that I've never heard together. Interested in how you accomplished that!

The holes are factory and used for passing the submount harness belt from below. But one is missing the trim/moulding/edging that keeps sharp edges from the belt, and the other looks to have bee modified/repaired in some way as the fiberglass surface is abraded all around it.

Ahh, I see it now. I wasn't looking close enough and the abrasions looked like a hole to me. Never looked at mine that closely & didn't realize the hole was there due to the slider.

Given recent sales of those, that was likely a pretty good deal.

I watched a non-cosmetic restoration go to $90,000 "all-in" really quick...on a TR6. (The Richard Good catalog was thrown at it.)
Mind you it was incredible when done but it sold for about $50K a year later when the owner wanted out.
You can tick boxes for parts BUT always remember there is labor involved to install them.
