Default Fitting Recaro SPG XL's down low and other questions

Ready to pull the trigger on these seats - I've confirmed they fit me well.

I am going to forego sliders on driver side to get the most headroom - I need it. Already have access to a used BK-9044 floor mount with integrated sub bar. This is spec'd to work with BK-9075 side mounts.

Here's the issue:

- I heard the 9044 may not go back far enough? At 6'1 I have longer torso than legs, but will I in fact be able to get back far enough?

- Also validated that the 9075 side mounts are 'tall' - which kind of defeats the purpose of foregoing the slider. Any thoughts on this combo - how low does it actually end up?

For the passenger side, I am planning regular Recaro side mounts and sliders.

- Wondering, how can I install a sub bar here? I have both factory GT3 and BK sub bars on hand - can either be made to work? Other ideas? I don't want to drill.

Thanks in advance - I know this is nitty gritty, but appreciate feedback on these specific seat/part combinations.

Cheers

Matt

The factory gt3 euro buckets mounted directly to the floor with BK is perfect for my 6"1 height with 34" inseam.
Tomorrow I'm pulling a seat for installing some parts and could get you more info if you'd like.

Thanks for this, I am already running the Euro buckets.

I am looking to fit the SPG XL (fits me better) and that's what started the whole experiment to get best headroom. Based on help here and on the 997 GT3 forum, I am looking into the GMG base setup.

In the meantime, I'll order my passenger side fitment (Recaro sidemounts and sliders) and try that on for size.

If anyone has feedback on the GMG all-in-one setup, I would appreciate it.

Cheers

Matt

I've got the Recaro Profi XL mounted on the BK floor mount with integrated sub bar on the BK side mount that is for Recaro Profi XL mounted to factory sliders, I forget the numbers. There are several sets of holes and I have it quite far back, almost to the firewall in my 986 Boxster. It is also quite low, my helmet doesn't touch the ceiling like with the Oem seat. I'd be happy to take photos or any measurements you would like.

Also I've got the recaro side mount and slider kit for that seat, new in box, I will sell.for 1/2 of whatever the new price is. (since I ended up floor mounting my passenger seat too)

I had some custom mounts made for the Profi XLs to get them far enough back for me @ 6'3. I recall they may have "massaged" the tunnel to get it lined up for me (also bolted to the floor, no sliders)
