A 996 GT3 mk1 Manthey Racing

- With fresh rebuilt 3.9L 460HP engine
- Manthey mk1 body kit +10cm in width, -63kg (!!) in weight, +XX kg in downforce, wind tunnel tested, race winner
- Looks bit silly with wrong wheels etc. but potentially a collector car if giving it the right look:

- Car was the personal car of Olaf Manthey himself
- Price only 79 900 EUR
- Ad: http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/de...er=1&fnai=prev

Then another one, a GT3 RS, caught my attention,

- Air Con delete, Radio Delete, Interior Delete
- In addition to RS lightweight parts it has also CF doors, CF fenders etc.
- Has to be very light for a street driven 996
- 415hp
- Race suspension
- Strange bumper/canard/wing setup, was something very uncommon to see back then 10 years ago
- A long time ago, it was totally new to me to see this particular new RS with all the lightweight mods (with only driver seat!) driven at the limit among more normal cars at the Nürburgring race track. Respect for the owner.
- Price crazy though, http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/de...l?id=233952478

Just love this type of hardcore 996 that can be driven to grocery shopping while can demolish 99.9% of cars at the track, if the driver knows what he is doing...

There is pretty much nothing original about the 996rs. But, I would love to drive it.

It's a $100k car in my book.

The red one was for sale two-three years ago as well. It had the special Manthey magnesium wheels back then. Asking price was 69900.. I changed couple of emails with Teichmann at the time. Strangely they couldnt tell me much about the spec of the car so my interest faded.

I agree it looks a bit clumsy like that.

That 996RS is bonkers! Looks like they have fitted the RS wing blade on the cup uprights? I like it.

Yep,

That car has all the go fast parts money can buy. I'm installing that same CAE shifter in my 996gt3 next week. Can't wait to try it!

The shifter looks hardcore! Look forward to some feedback. Where can I get myself some of those cup uprights...if only they mated up to the OEM decklid.
