Don't have any nos. but I figured I'd bore you guys with some impressions from fooling around on a dry skid pad the other day. Had r-compounds on and it was probably a bit foolish to smoke up expensive tires driving in circles but boy was it fun! With the available grip (and LSD) it was quite hard to break the car loose - had to get on the throttle hard and really throw the tail out. Pleasant surprise was how easy it was to catch and hold a slide by balancing the car under throttle. The outright grip is also phenomenal and you really do get up to quite high speeds on a dry skid pad before you lose traction.

LSD is standard on the GT3. The basic principal is that the diff will transfer torque from a rear will that is slipping to the other rear wheel to improve traction under acceleration and deceleration. This is especially helpful in cornering. If my memory serves, the LSD on the GT3 will transfer up to 60% of the available torque away from a slipping wheel under acceleration and up to 40% under deceleration.

ADOGNY, I understand that it is the LSD that causes the grinding noise at the back of our cars when making slow turns.

Default LSD is 40/60...

Karl...the GT3 LSD is set to lock 40% under acceleration and 60% on overrun. The rationale is that you need no more than 40% on accel given the rearward weight bias and weight transfer; but you need 60% on overrun to stabilize (reduce tendency to oversteer) with forward weight transfer.....helps with lift off oversteer.

Yes, seal is no longer...I have not seen atlas other than a color swatch placed against seal. It's considerably darker, but still looks nice. Keep in mind that the metallic options other than basalt black are a $3000 plus option...

Indeed -- it's especially "grindy" sounding when you are turning the front wheels while backing up the car.
